The Lizzie Bennett Diaries and Other Youtube Book Adaptations

Over the last few years I've really gotten into these YouTube adaptations of books. The majority of the ones I've found and watched take a classic novel and bring the story to life in a modern setting. The Lizzie Bennett Diaries was the first one that I watched, and I loved it! The series is based on the novel Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. They posted video each week and had the characters on Twitter, Tumblr, and Facebook, and combined it really helped bring the story to life. In fact, it felt so real that sometimes I forgot for a moment that what I was watching wasn't real. They are currently re-releasing each video on Facebook in honor of the series 5 year anniversary.

Some of my other favorite YouTube book Adaptations are:
  •  Emma Approved (based on Emma by Jane Austen)
  • Anne With An E (based on Anne of Green Gables by L. M. Montgomery)
  • Jane Eyre (based on Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte)
  • The March Family Letters (based on Little Women by Louisa May Alcott)
I really recommend these ones, but there are many others on YouTube that are just as good. I can't wait to watch more of them!
